Howdy, deviants!  How's everyone?  I hope the answer is spectacular, because life's much too short to be anything else.
I'm supposed to be cleaning my room right now, but I'm much better at procrastinating than I am at cleaning, and I've always been told to go with what I'm good at.  So, procrastinating it is.
You know, sooner or later you get to the point where crying and moping don't do any good any more, and all you can do is keep a stiff upper lip and soldier on.  I put it very eloquently the other night: it's time to put on my big girl britches, accept that life's a bitch, and move on.  C'est la vie.  And eventually, things'll get better; time heals, after all.  I have every hope for the future!
Along similar but totally not similar at all lines, I have a ton of story ideas to share with you guys at a later date.  If you've seen my new devID, pretty much all of the new characters fit into at least one of those stories.  They involve the inner dynamics and relationships of a theatre troupe; four elemental kingdoms (no, not like Avatar) whose political lines get strained by an exiled war hero, a dying king and a cross-cultural anarchist movement; Mount Olympus, as an apartment building, with all the gods and goddesses as mortal tenants and Gaea as the crazy old landlady; a revamped version of Darby, Milo, Tonya and Irina's stories; and a dragon racing tournament.  The only problem is that I just need to focus on actually fleshing them out. xD
Anyway, I think that's all that I have to say.  Aside from the obligatory: I'M SO EXCITED FOR COLLEGE.

I'm officially a high school graduate. :')

In other news, boys are confusing.  Lucky for me, I'm going to an all-girls college.
Also about the aforementioned college, I got a letter in the mail today saying that I've been selected for the Honors Program!  So that's good.
But boys are still confusing.  Especially theatre boys.

Holy shit, you guys.
I can't believe my senior year of high school is almost over. D:  Am I really that old?!  I start college next year!  I mean, what is this?!  AH.  My brain is starting to short-circuit.
Though, I suspect that might also have to do with the fact that I took my AP Literature and Composition exam today.  Gah.  I don't want to do any more schoolwork.  I just want to draw things and go walking and be happy.  Is that too much to ask of life? :>.<:
I'm also--officially--a single woman now.  So, that means I can ogle superheroes whenever I damn well please and not feel guilty about it!  Yay!  (Which is good for me, because I saw The Avengers last night with RedFoxen and HesOnlyRadicl and let me tell you, Hawkeye is fiiiiiine.   I'm just saying.)

So, that's pretty much it!  I have a really cool piece coming in for you guys to look at; it's a commission I did for a teacher, of an original fairytale that I'm writing with FatherGrimm.   My art teacher just needs to scan it, but then I'll post it up for you guys!  I'm also thinking of opening commissions, but I don't know if anyone would actually commission anything.  (Not to mention I'm not too optimistic about Paypal, as technology hates me with the burning passion of a frying pan on a hot burner.)  What do you guys think?

Also, if you don't know him already, you should check out my friend FatherGrimm!  He really is a great writer, but he would like for people to actually critique his work rather than just saying "Oh, that's nice!  You're a good writer!  Good job!"  So... if you get the chance, please go check out his stuff, and critique it if you should so please.

So... my life's been kinda crazy lately.  Everything seems to be uprooting--my friendships, my projects, my old relationship, etc.--now that school is almost over and I'll be going off to college next year.  It feels like everything is coming crashing down on me all at once; AP exams are in a few weeks, then it's regular exams and the Civil Rights museum field trip and then the Nebels (theatre awards ceremony) and graduation!  On top of all that, I'm losing someone who used to be one of my best friends, and my relationship with my boyfriend is dissolving into poop.  And I have a horrible case of senioritis, to boot.
But on the same token, every ending has a new beginning.   And some of the new beginnings that are popping up are pretty damn awesome--not to mention, I'm finding out who my real friends are!
